学习关于这次疫情的相关英文表达。
首先要提问同学们，这次新型冠状病毒感染的肺炎的命名是什么呢？
世卫组织（World Health Organization）是这样考虑的：
We had to find a name that did not refer to a geographical location, an animal, an individual or group of people, and which is also pronounceable and related to the disease,” the WHO chief said.
我们要取的名字不能指向某个地理位置、某个动物、某个人或群体，同时这个名字要易读，且与该疾病相关。
“Having a name matters to prevent the use of other names that can be inaccurate or stigmatizing. It also gives us a standard format to use for any future coronavirus outbreaks.”
正式命名可以阻止其他不准确或者污名化名称的使用，同时，也让我们在今后的冠状病毒疫情命名时有标准可循。
于是，就命名为COVID-19. (CO for Corona，VI for virus，D for disease, 19 for 2019)

疫情

那些要和动物打交道的人群会有较多感染新型冠状病毒的风险。
Symptom n.
症状
e.g. There can be a number of symptoms ranging from mild to severe.
由轻到重（病人）会有很多临床表现。
疫情以人传人的方式（human-to-human transmission）快速扩散（spread），几乎每天都有新增的确诊病例。

国家为了抗击疫情临时建造了火神山医院、雷神山医院和方舱医院等设施。
